Welcome to Champions Learning Center! Our Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our website and services. By accessing our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Champions Learning Center provides educational resources and services to help students achieve their academic goals. These terms apply to all users of our services, including parents/guardians, visitors, students, and instructors.

Service Terms

Enrollment and Participation

• Operating Hours: For Grades K-12, our hours are from 8:30am to 5:50pm. Adult learners' classes begin promptly at 6pm and end at 8pm.
• Pick-Up Policy: Students in Grades K-12 must be picked up before 6pm to allow for a smooth transition. A fee of $15 will be charged for any pick-ups after 6pm. Students will be supervised by a staff member in the lobby until pick-up. Ensure you are on the list of authorized pick-ups when registering.
• Arrival Policy for Adult Learners: Adult learners, please arrive no earlier than 6pm. If you arrive early, kindly wait outside until a staff member escorts you in. This helps us manage transitions effectively and prioritize safety for all.

Safety and Security

• Background Checks: All staff at Champions undergo thorough background checks to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
• Video Surveillance: All classrooms are equipped with 24-hour video surveillance, providing continuous monitoring to enhance safety and security.
• Sanitation Procedures: Our workshops adhere to strict sanitation procedures, including regular cleaning and disinfection of shared spaces and equipment.
• Mask Policy: While masks are optional, we encourage participants to follow their own comfort level and respect others' choices regarding COVID-19 protocols.

Parent Involvement

• Classroom Space for Parents: If there is available space in our classrooms, we encourage parents to join our workshops or volunteer. In the event of limited space, a list will be provided to ensure all parents have the opportunity to participate.

Class Sizes and Waitlist

• Class Sizes: Our K-12 classrooms are limited to 8 students with up to 2 teachers. Our adult classrooms accommodate up to 14 participants with 2 teachers.
• Waitlist: A waitlist is created once a class is full. Participants on the waitlist will be contacted in order if a spot becomes available.

Registration and Cancellation

• Registration: Registration and payment must be completed online (or via phone or email) to secure a spot in our workshops.
• Cancellation and Refunds: If a participant needs to withdraw more than 7 days before the workshop begins, a full refund will be issued. Withdrawals made within 7 days of the start date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
• Class Cancellations: Champions Learning Center reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Should a cancellation occur, we will use the email you provided to contact you, and a refund will be issued 24 hours after a workshop is canceled.

Equipment and Supplies

• Included Supplies: All supplies, resources, technology, smocks, safety equipment, etc. are included.
• Computer Workshops: No one will be admitted to computer workshops later than 10 minutes past the start time. This training is conducted on PC AND MAC computers. Do not bring your laptops as we cannot offer assistance using them and the exercises used during the workshop cannot be loaded onto personal laptops. Each participant will have a PC or a MAC computer to work on during the workshop.

Account and Attendance

• Individual Accounts: Each person attending a workshop must have their own account. Multiple learners may not register under one account.
• Interaction with Animals: For courses involving interaction with our friendly reptiles, fish, and other small mammals, a waiver will need to be signed.

Guest Presenters and Special Programs

• Special Guests: We take pride in delivering high-quality education across all our courses. The majority of our classes are led by two teachers, ensuring personalized attention and support. Some of our classes also benefit from the expertise of certified professionals. For example, our teen entrepreneur courses feature visits from self-made millionaires who reside in Houston, and professional counselors offer guidance in our SEL classes. In our adult programs, successful business professionals provide real-world insights. We always provide a one-week notification ahead of any guest presenter to enhance the learning experience.

Notifications and Preregistration

• Preregistration: Preregistration is highly recommended. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not preregistered, we will not be able to contact you.
• At-the-Door Registration: If you choose to register at the door, you will need your mobile device to complete your registration.

Comfort and Accommodations

• Room Temperature: Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
• Service Animals: We love service animals! If you need to bring a service animal with you to a workshop, please contact us ahead of time.
• Disability Accommodations: Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Contact our director, Erica Hoffman, at (832) 570-7007 for accommodations or any workshop-related questions. Erica holds an MS in Special Education and is certified to provide accommodations tailored to individual needs.

Services and Transactions

Service Withdrawal and Cancellation

We reserve the right to withdraw or cancel our services at any time without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, changes in course offerings, schedules, and availability.

Financial Transactions

All payments for services must be made in accordance with our payment terms. We accept various forms of payment and all transactions are final. Refunds are issued at our discretion and according to our refund policy.

Customer Expectations

Information Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the information on our website. Champions Learning Center is not liable for any errors or omissions.

Website Downtime

We do not guarantee that our website will always be available. Temporary unavailability may occur due to maintenance or other factors beyond our control.
